Prepping Swiss Startup to Become Arbiter of Innovation

Switzerland’s home to chocolate, private bankers, amazing ski reports, iconic cows and and a surprising number of innovative tech startups. When one of them approached me about creating a marketing foundation to support its launch, I accepted the challenge. I said yes after visiting its website and observing the future impact of improved branding, messaging, digital presence, sales outreach and marketing communications. 

ipQuants transforms huge datasets of Intellectual Property filings into data-driven legal insights its customers use to improve business strategy and execution. We started with a messaging overhaul; the former “Democratizing IP Intelligence” messaging failed to succinctly communicate the technology’s benefits to law firms and in-house IP counsel and strategists. We replaced it with a new “Among Millions of Innovation Data Points, We Help You Discover the Ones that Matter” summary. 

Visual branding was next. Artem, who heads my preferred design and software development resource, managed the logo revision process. This design work also created a standalone “Q” icon that now serves as a visual unifier across iPQuants’ product, sales and marketing assets such as case studies and industry reports. The website was completely updated to emphasize use cases, benefits, and early customer successes. Artem’s team created a custom WordPress theme that boldly and colorfully combined text and graphics. 

This project provided ipQuants with the branding, marketing and sales foundation to pursue opportunities with the biggest players in the European IP community. It also provided ipQuants’ leadership with the marketing flexibility to grow as the company’s product focus and offerings evolved.
